The outstanding vigil saw the stalwart left-hander surpass former Australian captain Allan Border's tally of 11,174 runs. The 39-year-old Chanderpaul now has 11,199.
"Border is a great man and scored a lot of runs against us in the past and we had a lot of fast bowlers. I'm happy to get up there. Those are great guys up there," said Chanderpaul.
