			no rain says the w-man
The weather forecast could not be better.
The University Oval ground in Dunedin looks picture-perfect and the pitch is said to be a belter. And four local lads are going to get a run.
It is just what the doctor ordered - now all we need is a win.
Test cricket comes to the University Oval for the sixth time today as New Zealand fronts up to the West Indies. It will be New Zealand's 10th test of the year, but it has yet to record a win.
Sure, there have been some close-run things - and some not so close efforts - but the Black Caps need to boost their current dismal test ranking of eighth, and can start that by getting a win.
Otago Cricket Association chief executive Ross Dykes said everything pointed to an exciting few days.
''The pitch looks good ... the weather is looking like it is going to be all right. I hope we will get a good walk-up crowd. I'm hoping for about 2000.''
Mr Dykes said he was proud to see four Otago players - captain Brendon McCullum, Aaron Redmond, Neil Wagner and Hamish Rutherford - lining up in the New Zealand squad.
The weather is forecast to be fine for most of the week.
The test starts at 10.30am.
