Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

Stress issues aside - which of course could have affected his performance seriously, I still think it was pretty obvious flaw his technique. He's been a liability for a while now, and his weakness against short stuff was obvious before too. Besides that he moves way too much across his stumps, there's no way you can play a leg glance with that crap properly.
Something he has to sort out.

Trott is a class player and let us not blow the issue out of proportions. All that is going around in the Ashes is not aggression. Hayden says that if you want to see aggression on a cricket field just look into Rahul Dravid eyes. You do not have do do a stupid thing like Clarke or Warner.
Clarke is a great batsman but for him to become a legend he need to possess all pristine human attributes as well.

A bit insensitive and I know most banter is fair game during the Ashes but this is no ordinary case.
Depression is quite a serious issue and human condition irrespective of what we do for a living.
Strip away, the normally good natured Ashes bravado and you will find a kind word might just be the best thing right now.
It might be you next, God forbid, but we never know.

This is true to some extent as since 2010, his average has consistently been in decline.
However, personally, I would overlook that and focus on wishing him a speedy recovery.
I read a story of Lou Vincent, in depression, travelling around the UK in a camper van and was ripped off a substantial sum of money for the repair of said van. He clearly was not thinking straight and the condition continues to affect him and his Cricket.
I do, however, note your proviso at the start of your post.

I've suffered from clinical depression. Headache, nausea, dizziness, hallucination and morbid thoughts are all par for the course together with a prolonged period of medication. There are also possible links to Parkinson's Disease which I now have. How Trott was expected to cope with the extreme pressures of an Ashes tour given his history of mental fragility is beyond me. Good luck for the future mate.

Thanks for sharing such a personal account of your suffering. Is is both brave and courageous to do so.
Let us hope we all become more empathetic about what is a more common affliction than we may be aware.
Hope you are better these days and you are benefitting from any Parkinson's treatment advancement.

I have worked hard long hours and at eight years old made breakfast got dressed for school and travelled to school all whilst my parents worked to try to make ends meet. I for many years have had depression it can happen to Anyone. God help anyone who has no compassion for JT. IF they ever suffer from any mental health problems they will soon change there opinion. So annoyed at people who have opinions on something they have never experienced.
