If so Vivian and soon Lara are both in Shiv's shadow.

* Shiv could score 100,000 runs with a 100 test centuries at an average of 100 and he would never be classed as a better batsman than Lara or Viv.

* SHIV HAS BEEN BLESSED WITH LONGEVITY.

* And he has also put up great NUMBERS.

* But Lara and Richards are ELITE greats---meaning they were the best in their respective eras.

* Also, only 3 batsmen in history have ended their careers averaging 50+ with a 60+ strike rate----and 2 of those batsmen are Lara and Richards.

* Shiv has put up great numbers, but Lara and Richards are ELITE greats.
