I will not even bother with this anymore. Broad, Broad and Ramdin comes back to mind. imagine a father referring a game in which his son is playing. that is the essence of in-our-faces contempt for the rule of law and ethical principle
for years I have been going on about the ICC and its racist crookedness and contempt for the teams of colour.
now that the Indians have bobbed up to the top are they buttressing ICC bullshit...not changed anything for the better but joined up ::confused::
is that why Pak is having so much trouble ::confused::
look out west indies..even more crap is about to roll our way

Those zipper teeth seem to me would inflict more damage to the ball than Afridi tooth

Du Plessis is not the first cricketer to benefit from the compassion of the ICC. During the Cape Town Test in early 2010, England seamer Stuart Broad was
caught on camera
digging his shoe spikes into the ball. His action caused a tear in the ball's surface, and he then tossed it to James Anderson, who picked at the spot. No
official penalty resulted
; in fact there was not even a warning or a reprimand. Discussing the incident in his newspaper column, former England captain Michael Vaughan wrote: "had this been a game involving Pakistan, and Shoaib Akhtar or Mohammad Asif had been pictured using their fingers on the ball, there would have been uproar".

Waqar Younis, speaking to ESPNcricinfo after the Test finished, also believed the fine was lenient: "I think, to be very honest, Faf got away with it with just 50% of the match fee. I thought it was a bit of frustration from the South Africans, they did not need to do that. It leaves a big question mark on South Africa's credibility."

I agree, 100% of match fees and 2 test ban. He plead guilty as charged so his intent is clear.

a. We don't know the specifics of the plea. So I would not make assumptions to what he pleaded exactly, except that it's something enough to deem him to get some degree of punishment, i.e. "guilty".
b. Is pleading worse? I mean if I keep denying plausible ball tampering then should I get away with less punishment or get severe punishment?

I already said that I was unable to see the match, so I missed the whole incident. I also try to avoid any discussions here that involved allegations of racism.
I find the whole thing shocking, but Faf du Plessis has apparently admitted that he was guilty of ball tampering. However I don't know enough about the incident to comment on his punishment.
