Lendl Simmons, the Trinidad & Tobago batsman said Brian Lara's presence in the squad has had a positive impact on the players, who stormed through to the semi-finals of the Champions League Twenty20, beating Chennai in style.

Lara, one of the greatest batsmen to have played the game, is travelling with the West Indian team and has acted as a mentor to the young players, some of whom have not yet played international cricket.
