OK Folks!
We all saw Shiv Chanderpaul being forced out of the West Indies one day team before he had a chance to surpass Brian Lara as the highest WI scorer in one day cricket.
10,405---Lara(1)
8778
Shiv(2)
8743----Gayle(3)
Take a look at Chris Gayle----he's only 35 runs behind Shiv----will the WICB allow Gayle to surpass Lara in onedayers ?
RE: TESTS
Shiv(10,830) is currently 1123 runs behind Lara(11953).
THE BIG QUESTION
Will Shiv be allowed to overtake Lara or will the WICB send him packing before het gets to 11953 ?

Those vindictive arseholes will find a way to get rid of him. They've already started the chatter.

READ THIS COMMENT FROM THE DERBYSHIRE PEAK FAN BLOG
One thing to keep in mind. I don't think it will be too long before we see Shiv Chanderpaul announce his international retirement. He may go on for a little while, but I have a feeling that the politics of West Indian cricket - something that rears its head constantly in their game - will dictate that Brian Lara remains as their all-time top scorer before Shiv gets an opportunity to overtake him. He's around a thousand short at present, but Lara is a near-deity in the Caribbean, the Cavalier to Chanderpaul's Roundhead. I might be wrong, but watch this space...
If Shiv did retire from the international game, he could then play, should he wish, as a Kolpak, leaving scope for Derbyshire to recruit an overseas player. That would still, with Hughes and Madsen now England-qualified, leave them within the 9-2 scope of the club blueprint for fielding English-qualified players and maximising ECB money.

It's facting amazing!
Shiv is currently the #2 ranked test batamsn in the world---and yet some jacka$$es are pleading for him to retire.
903---Amla(1)
880---Shiv(2)
879---deVilliers(3)
www.relianceiccrankings.com/ranking/test/batting/
WE ALL KNOW WHY THEY WANT SHIV TO RETIRE.
They don't want him to surpass Lara's 11953.
By the way, Shiv has a chance to re-enter the top the ICC 900 rating club again---his previous high was 901
www.relianceiccrankings.com/alltime/test/
If Shiv belts a hundred against India---he may very well top his previous high----901.

The onslaught has already began on Gayle. It is only a matter of time before they come up with something else again. Before you know it, you'll hear he has been dismissed. Smh! I had asked beforehand about the silly Board. Case in point!!!

Gayle is 1163 runs behind Lara----he may actually be allowed to stay around until the next world cup----but the WI cricket board is very ruthless and vindictive and they may decide to dump Gayle before he gets to Lara's 10405 in one dayers.
By the way---it was the WICB that decided to send Lara packing----he had at least 2 more years left in him
but they took the captaincy away from him----then discarded him.
So if the great Lara can be discarded by the grudging, spiteful and malicious WICB----players like Gayle and Shiv stand no chance----they'll be dumped in a millisecond.

At an average of say 50 , he will need around 23 ODIs .
Based on the FTP b4 next WC , West Indies dont have 23 ODIs
