Traffic seems to be a concern for a lot of states. This month, the Texas Department of Transportation approved an increase in the speed limit on Texas State Highway 130 to a record 85 mph. The reasoning is the same as for Georgia – to help move traffic more efficiently.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

just curious.....but how will going faster help to move traffic more efficiently on a highway that is plugged up with too many cars?
i can see how it might work during non-rush hour traffic.....but during??

Those who can go faster will get off the roads sooner, therefore less traffic. Rush hour traffic will automaticaly slow down the traffic, but if the speeds are faster, then it will slow it down a bit less.
