Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is “feeling much better” after admitting himself to hospital Tuesday evening, a spokesperson for his office says.

Ford's press secretary George Christopoulos made the comment to reporters after visiting the mayor in hospital Wednesday morning.

Christopoulos did not disclose any specifics about Ford’s symptoms other than to say he felt “unwell” for most of the day Tuesday.

“He has undergone a number of tests, he’s being treated and he is feeling much better today, but that is as far as I can go right now,” he said. “I’ll have another update in the next little while.”
