On Saturday, West Liberty-Salem (Ohio) High junior Meghan Vogel won a state title. Incredibly, that might not even be what she or anyone else remembers most about her day at the Ohio Division III track and field state meet, because she later committed one of the most selfless acts of the year on the track: She stopped running the 3,200-meter final to help along a foe who had collapsed just 20 feet from the finish line.

Sorry but I am not moved by this , they were both out of it and I am sure that if she was about to win the race , she would not have done that .
Watch her now on Letterman and Leno as she squeeze every ounce of publicity in her self promotion and agrandisment

A more telling story would be the guy running the olympic marathon and looking back and seeing no one behind him , I can imagine him muttering "4 fcking years of hard work , training like a dog , for what, finishing last? Hell I could have finished last without sacrificing and wasting those 4 years of my life"
This fella story would be more compelling but we never hear about them
