DeRozan 16-15-6
JV for sure is very lucky to have been traded. Masai for absolutely sure did not believe in him as a player..and so neither did Nick Nurse. this resulted in less time on the court for JV..to coming off the bench after all the hard work he had done improving his game
but Memphis believes in JV and he is back to starting and his game is again improving all the time.
I maintain that it is never wise to trade younger for older. Mark Gasol's game is getting weaker while JV is arcing up to his peak as a player.
there is ABSOLUTELY NO ADVANTAGE IN TRADING SUCH AS JV FOR SUCH AS GASOL. GASOL NO LONGER HAS STARTER STAMINA, YET THAT IS WHAT HE IS DOING FOR NICK NURSE
the Raps need Gasol for spot work..cameos in which he could bring his considerable experience to turn games in the playoffs when necessary.
it makes no sense at all to pay too high a price for such as Gasol. he is likely to deteriorate quickly. by next year Gasol is mostly off the bench or gone into retirement. you give a lower draft pik or two for Gasol. you dont let teams pik your pocket for such as Gasol.
just watch as JV lights up Memphis for the next 5 years as Gasol disappears completely from sight

I don't want to see Masai too disappear from sight as the Raps president and GM. but I seriously do not like his moves since the end of last season.
Dwayne Casey should still have been the coach. JV and DeRozan shud still be in Toronto. Masai shud have gone for solid experience almost fail safe shooting..a shooter who can bomb from any distance and battle under the basket and in the paint as well.
Williams from the Clippers..they would have given him for a deal that would not have involved great cost. the Clippers were looking to tank for draft advantage.
there are such as Bellinelli and that other Italian bomber who are always available. those are the guys you need on the team. Williams is the best but anyone would help. instead you have Lin stinking up the place every night tossing total bricks at the basket from 3-point
I am pissed at Masai. he shud have known better. things have gone to his head. he better shake his goddam head so they can dislodge and fall right out again
what the fuck is Jeremy Lin doing on the Raptors when he solves nothing..literally is a problem rather than solving one?
