there are poor Jamaican chinese in Jamaica.  but this is all a digression from the documentary i posted. this segment was not about class it was about chinese heritage and history in Jamaica. one chinese featured in the documentary is penny less actually.

well all this being said all i have to say is i wish these harsh critics on this forum would at least watch the documentary because they based on their response they did not watch it or they at least have serious comprehension issues. its fine if you hate the program but do not hate it for false reasons.
i will be offline for a long while for it is back to Haiti and i will be in bush country where internet is rare.

i will post more segments of the documentary asap.
the next segment is about color lines and RACISM!!! in Jamaica so i am sure it will really mash things up and and make the masses get all bright and  feisty.

very very true these are some the cultural traits that have been retained in Jamaican chinese culture but the idea that all Jamaican chinese are wealthy is false i know some who live in the Garrisons of Kingston.
but the majority have done well in the middle class and many have moved up to the most wealthy corners of Jamaican society.  discipline, determination and dedication get you far but it will also create a lot of envy from those who do not share those traits.

That is exactly the stereotype that is being peddled...they are rich and disenfranchise others. You ever heard about successful peole  being discriminated against. No...they don't complain, they just work and make things happen as oppose to waiting on others to make things happen for them.

well  trust me i deal with worse off the forums and in west indies. you do not survive for 29 years in 3rd world places without running into these kinds of mentalities.
i have received death threats, attacks, attempts of extortion and attempts of wrongful imprisonment and 1000 yard stares more intense than any of these weekend rude boys could throw at me on a forum and i am still in the caribbean so dont think you have seen the last of me on this site because mi badda dan dem, nuh bwoy no badda dan mi.
