Thank you for all the condolences
1) Krishna can you merge the "This House" and "Nargis" Thread to this one? - thanks
Did you know that if you want to send a body overseas....lets say in this case to St Maarten - it costs about 10G and change?
Did you also know that to do so you need the deceased's passport to book the flight?
I told to the girl at the parlor "but shes dead....they still need it? isnt it null and void now?" the girl said to me "Yes...even the deceased needs flying papers"
look - i broke out laughing ::rofl::
5200$ and change for a 1hr service and cremation at the home - mind you this will be closed casket.
round about 8000$ for burial complete with the plot and the 1hr service
BTW the time you finish viewing days, wakes etc.....you almost clear $15G !!!!! what the hell.
Tomorrow i get to go to the Coroners office and clear up some paper work and hopefully we will know our fate with regards to all of the above; where, when and how.
Planning a funeral with so many factors involved is crazy.
1) i have never spoken to my cousins this much in such a short period of time
2) I have spoken to Guyana, St Maarten, New York and the rest of Canada in the last 24 hours
3) Texted and WhatsApp ppl till i broke my nail
4) Missed 3 tv shows
5) and shes not even released from the Coroners office yet.
this is tiring...how do ppl under grieve and stress do this?
6) I have to go find a priest to preside over the service
7) Get the take away cards - or program or whatever done
The URN COSTS $200! can you believe that? I just spent that amount today on my car~!
