there is a similar story......about hassa from mahaica creek
my sis lived there for many years.....and confirmed that the story was true
(and i have seen the latrines built over the creek)
(any surprise why i don't eat hassa?)

last year CNN did a documentary on fish aquaculture in china , it was chilling and shocking

they come from florida where raw sewage is directed into the hassa ponds , check PBS archives
