on average as far as I see...50 years!
I don't know about women..I am not one..but for men by the time man reach fifty is only then he gets an insight into life, how to behave, what to focus on, how to conduct his life, what is right and what is not.
and by the time it is getting ready to check out of life. ridiculous eh!
the way life is organised every generation repeats mostly the life of all those who went before. there is little mechanism to transfer the past meaningfully to youth... the positives of all that have gone past so they begin at that point, and are not doomed to repeat old mistakes.
short of that is repeat, learn by fifty then die soon after. tragic eh! :'( :'(
