See it is really really tough to feel sorry for Ed...begs the question: what was he thinking??? And now nothing means anything except his freedom.

Let's see if he ends up pleading guilty or takes his chance at trial.

It all still depends on the evidence they have on him.  Witnesses are key in these trials.  What the Feds usually do is round up all potential witnesses and charge them with accessory, aiding and abetting etc.  Then get them to sing like tweety birds and agree to testify against the big fish in exchange for dropping the charges.  That's how they got peeps like Madoff.
