the americans had a civil war in the 1860's there was intevention from europe and no doubt from latin america as well


but no outsiders had a decisive say in its outcome.  it was american.


on the contrary there was no Libyan insurrection or civil war. 


the' insurrection' was trumped up by mossad/nato/cia.... propagandised as civil war and atrocity by Gaddafi... America got the security council to institute a no-fly zone which Obama/NATO turned into fullscale invasion of Libya using western air power..and a private army made up arab/muslim human dregs....western fifth columns in the islamic world.


one cannot even  speak accurately..even if scornfully... of a civil war in Libya and leaving them to kill themselves..for there was no civil war at all. just some so called rebels playing the arse in the desert around Benghazi. 


the western media did the rest.
