Thanks! THe best cost you could is with JET Airways. they stop in Brussels, Belgium and then onwards to India. normally a good flight is roughly $1000-$1300 tax in return.
i went with Etihad so i paid a little more and i am stopping in UAE for a couple days before i go to Delhi - i paid about $1850 return tax in.
i hope the heat doesnt bother me too much...
