One of my primary school friends wants to return to Bihar to trace her forefathers and she's asking me for the name and number of the boat but I misplaced the certificate - hopefully, I will find it sooner than later.  My friend is leaving for India next year with the hope of finding 'salvation'.  Perhaps BK can assist here with boats, etc.!!  My father was a genious for keeping documents!    At the back of his father's birth certificate and in his own handwriting, he wrote that his father died on "August Monday 1952".... at the age of 75 years...seeing his handwriting brings back so many memories with my dad.

Interesting piece of history there Kyla,  was aware of  two ships the Hesperus and Whitby. Now you have me digging deeper into the Indentured immigrants history. Update us on Ziaud's findings.

Ok...he has a lot of history from his father's side of the family but from his mother's - it is limited to just me and whatever I have!!  Go digging, it is very interesting - perhaps we can go to India...lol ...
