Lest we forget ......  better to hang a mala around Cheddie's statue than do this ....

Hoyte had allied himself with known criminals and narco-traffickers. When the infamous narco-trafficker “Blackie” was killed by the police, Hoyte draped a Guyana flag over his coffin, called him a Guyanese hero and led his funeral procession.

Dr jagan must be turning in his grave , to be honoured in this way .Here is man that tried to bridge differences between  races and religion and to have him associated with a particular faith  by these numbskulls  is an abomination.
That hoyte and the pnc honoured  a known criminal is a false equvalency, DR  jagan was a great leader of all the people of guyana and his commitment to social justice is what he lived. and died for.
He was not a hindu
communism has nothing to do with religion.
communism... a system of govt.
socialism ... a system of economics.
democracy  ... a system of govt
capitalism ... a system of  economics

and nothing wrong with honoring him
He must have done some good for guyana or people wouldn't be doing this.

just not worship him as an 'almost God' as Krish seems to do.
Honouring him is fine but not with religion connotations , he was religion neutral.
