Quote:The 1971-72 series between the men from theisland of the long white cloud and the representatives of the sun soaked isles of the New Worldresulted in a long drawn out stalemate. The touring New Zealand side under Graham Dowling was not expected to put up a fight, but in the end held the hosts 0-0 over five Tests.
Selective recognition in the West Indies? We salute you A.I. Kallicharan!
Mail, Kalli was born in Port Mourant, Berbice, Guyana. ::LOL::
He used to play cricket on the street, breaking up dem people glass windows! He went to Rose Hall Scott primary school where he was the shortest chap in the team but because of his talent he was named the captain.
He tells the story how during the primary school competition their school had no gears! They borrowed the pads/bats from the other team in the final. The other team batted first and they made 200 plus runs. Then they started batting. They were 175 or so for 3, with him over 100 not out...when the other team manager came and demanded their gears back!!!!!!!
game over!! ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL::
