sorry the niqab is mandated in the Quran - ppl need to learn their scripture better and stop bringing these false acts as part of the religion.
Islam is a pure and peaceful religion made for man to live peacefully and properly with humanity. this business of face coverings etc is becoming ridiculous.
how can you go to a civic ceremony say a citizenship swear in with your face covered? how can you take an identification picture with your face covered? how are ppl supposed to identify you?
dont you think if Allah meant for women not to show their face in public - he would have made them without a face?????
