Welcome to this month of Ramadan,1437 !

That's why my 71yr old sister and her 75yr old husband goes back to Guyana every Ramadan
It's the only way they can keep the Fast.

Quote:17 hours is long

but we can easily sleep for 17 hours and not get hungry or thirsty  :o

I know.....when we are awake and are active it is not as easy
plus.....all the food that are temptation to the eyes.....even though quite often we are not actually hungry

I propose a meeting of the Council : and exempt us from the sunrise to sundown Element

and stick to 12- 13 hours maximum !!

The Almighty may not have anticipated Daylight Savings Time.

as well as Pope Gregory changing the Calendar to 2016  :-[

#7
wasnt it like 19hrs last time?

#8
Ketch......the longer hours have everything to do with the country you are living in and nothing to do with the time change or calendar!!

Canadians enjoy four distinct seasons and daylight hours changes with each one.

full year continuous 12hrs of daylight?
we have to move back to Guyana!!!

Fact of the matter is Fasting was intended in the desert lands as 12 hours.

There is like 24 hours of Sunlight in Western Canada !

should Muslims there fast all day ?

we gotta be reasonable.

yall dont make a big deal out of it....put your mind straight and fast if you fasting and done with it.
