Stolen Diamond

The gem came into British hands in the 19th Century and is part of the Crown Jewels

on show at the Tower of London.

Ownership of the priceless gem is an emotional issue for many Indians, who believe

let the brits keep the damn thing------ i don't want them to return the diamond, india and pakistan gon fight over it--

Quite unique and perfectly shaped diamond. Since said diamond has already passed by several hands, is very difficult to tell which was the legitimate owner of that jewel. If that jewel didn't end up in british hands, probably would be under the possession of another conquering faction and not as a Indian people jewel anyway. Good riddance with that warmongering diamond.

One of many from the old colonial countries unfortunately, there is a large amount of valuables and artifacts owned by British families. How long before there is a systematic effort to get these returned.

ALL the Crown Jewels stolen from India should have been returned

During Independence hand over 60 odd years ago ...!

That's a beautiful thing! I think that shiny thing should be returned to it's rightful owner.
