Since said diamond has already passed by several hands, is very difficult to tell which was the legitimate owner of that jewel. If that jewel didn't end up in british hands, probably would be under the possession of another conquering faction and not as a Indian people jewel anyway. How long before there is a systematic effort to get these returned.
