Your favorite eatery!

Following news of raids on food outlets, are you curious about the condition of your favourite eatery's kitchen?

We rarely eat out - so I don't really have a fav eatery  8)

I eat out Daily !

only at places with the Green pass by Ministry of Health Inspectors !

so no concerns here !
                               

I wont even eat at places with a Conditional pass

                                         

Yesterday I cooked -
cauliflower wid chicken
seme/aloo/shrimps curry
beef rice pilau
sada roti

the kids came and took their portions  ;D

the rest for our dinners for the next three days

Thank God my retiree does not mind left-ovas cause I hate going home and cook every day

Food is so cheap ....why bother to prep cook , do dishes et cetera  >

I got a lunch special for 3.99 !

and it can feed 2  :-[

but....with home-cooked foods you know exactly what's going in it

with outside food......it's anyone's guess

even when it comes to cleanliness.....one of the reasons I don't like to eat out

I know they have those passes and all.....but the inspectors are not there every day to see how foods are prepared

the most I ever eat out is when we go on vacations

and then I am very picky with what I eat.

The inspectors are surprise checks : No advance notice is given.

These inspectors are brutal : they shut you down in the snap of a Finger.

Guess Chair post this thread for the USA folks that dont have this System !

I reckon that we need to be careful of where we eat and also check the grading of the store, as that will show what sort of place it is and a trustworthy place as well. I think that you do need to be careful of where you eat and also, check that food is well made and safe to eat so you don't have any problems. It is something we need to be aware of and check how long the business has been running and the ratings as well which can make you think about it.
