5th ODI: England vs New Zealand at Chester-le-Street

The game is currently in another run delay. England need 284 to win although there is a good chance overs will now be lost and this target will be reduced. Given the conditions, runs on the board are always a good thing. New Zealand will be pleased to get up to 283, especially as at one stage it looked like they may struggle to bat out their full allotment of overs and post 250. England will be pleased to chase something under 300 for a change. Hopefully the rain doesn't decide this game and ultimately the series.

This has pretty much been the theme after Wheeler's blows hauled New Zealand to 283.

The chase will begin at 5:30pm, provided there is no more rain. England's target has been revised to 192 in 26 overs.

I know it has been said a thousand times before but there really needs to be a better alternative than the Duckworth Lewis method.

Some serious SlogFest will be required by England to win this !
