as usual you miss the point.  a major advance has taken place, achieved in the emergence of Venezuela democracy.  it is the very same democracy BG needs, the west indies need..all dominated nations.

from VNA it spread to Brasil, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Uruguay, helped a better type of government to emerge in Chile, gradually changing the horrific situation in Colombia. that is historic..the first progressive development on the Latin continent since Simon Bolivar that has stuck

that is historic..presents for the west indies an historic opportunity to move for its own independence from the hegemom.  deals made between such governments mean something.  negotiations lead to resolution.  its easier for such governments to compromise on historical issues on democratic principles. people development is the point...wealth and territory are means to an end not ends in themselves..to possess them.  the people will usually make their on land based contiguity anyway according to how best the can prosper in their region.  the democracy is to facilitate such development even when they re-arrange borders

Chavez emerges..his government holds solid and goes on.  but he is isolated and under pressure. he needs friends/support in the region, he pushes for laws that makes non interference the way in the region...his policies are seriously progressive..he introduces Petrocaribe a maser stroke that helps Guyana too.

that was the time for Guyana to beat the land issue, to develop even force negotiation towards resolution and a mutually beneficial deal that would begin to draw BG into the continent in a progressive and developmental way, into the cover for BG independence

but allyuh had a silly government in power that's what..unable to take advantage of seriously progressive opportunities the developing situation made available
