what kind of hybridization is dat....what shade deh talking about ::confused:: deh have to make one that can be grown in open field

that wont do.  they have to have organic culture or forget it.

seems to me deh have a lot of work to do yet.  we have we own ecosystem.  deh may have to find alternatively a hybrid that can fit into and can be managed in that system by means of the hybrid helping itself by positive relations with other plants...and soil life forms 

it might be better to look to grow the potato in sufficient quantity in diverse forest setting rather than in open monoculture fields which for sure will require pesticide management and great artificial fertilizer inputs...

I am getting the impression that deh research is being guided by Sygenta and Dupont officals looking ovah deh shouldah

unity is not separate from the work of the people collectively on their national security....

national unity is political proganda when people are unemployed and hungry and nutten going orn..wen survival is based on scarcity that requires groups to form to the exclusion of others around whatever litle they can cull out of the system so deh can survive

the west indies live in a system of draconian exploitation and scarcity, heavy idleness of youth, propaganda and poor education. unity will come in successful collective attack on those problems which would produce the security the people need

without the plans and essential nationalist ideology behind such a project..without putting it into effect there will be no unity

yes! 

and if the need for shade is a major problem they cant deal with..or wont yield to genetic selection... then forest settings would be the way to go in terms of production

if a proper hybrid can be developed potato may be grown in open field without the need for pesticides and heavy fertilizer management.

it cant be grown this way serially of course but in rotations..the best rotation to be developed over time.

its a lot of work... but sweet work... coming to a comprehensive understanding of the ecosystem ONE OCCUPIES and evolving ways to sustain agricultural production INDEFINITELY in it

what to do with the coconut oil

Coconut oil is Great !  Soya may be cheaper

AND give the idle youths in the cadet corps : a project to henjoy ! 

wat I wud do is to focus on coconut oil.....I suspect that would be more beneficial for the region and the human body. 

and there is great great potential in so many areas for coconut oil soon there will not be enuff coconut in the world for human consumption in all the developing ways it is used.

and look here..the main ingredient is lauric acid..a medium chain tryglyceride.. that makes coconut fat positive fat for human consumption. 

also when the oil is extracted there is still lauric acid in the residual meal which when fed to pigs for example leaves them lean and healthy..not fat and overweight and unhealthy, that is profitable for pork producers by weight, but not healthy for the human consumption.

and currently it would be a task to find unmodified soy bean seed for planting.  soy bean is almost 100% GMO as we speak.

the only use I see for soybean is as a fresh bean..green, used in fresh cooking.  if the Chinese like soya sauce then they can dry beans for that purpose.  but otherwise I see no real value in soy beans for any other purpose
