Trott retires from international cricket

he struggled to make an impact after being recalled. His six innings brought three ducks, two more single-figure scores and just a solitary half-century,not enough by his tandards,maybe.

I don't think it was the lack of runs that was the biggest concern, it was more that he did not look at all comfortable at the crease and his footwork was atrocious. He was fidgety and moving around the crease before the ball was even bowled. He never looked at ease and his weakness to the short ball was again exposed.

I believe (like some) that Trott's return was very premature .. but so it go.  He most probably felt knowing his ability at this level given his mental state,  that it was an opportune time to quit !!  Depression is a very real torment to deal with.....pressure now off !!
