* There is an old saying, "winners never quit and quitters never win.

* Shiv(11842) is only 112 runs away from overtaking 11953.

* The whole world knows Shiv is failing----the numbers don't lie----21, 4, 7, 9, 50, 46, 13, 1, 7----his last 9 scores.

* Shiv also knows he is failing but he is not ready to quit----he knows he is only 112 runs away from his goal.

* Actually, if you add Shiv's last 5 test scores(50, 46, 13, 1 and 7) you get 117

* So unless the selectors decide to drop Shiv after the Barbados test---he is projected to surpass 11953 during the 2nd test of the Aussie series in June.

* If Lord Krishna buss a smile on Shiv he can knock off those 112 in one innings.

* Shiv needs to change gods---Lord Shiva not serving him well in 2015. ;D

shive shud get at least the next game. he deserves that at least..if not the Oz games as well in the circumstances.  blackwood is so crazy at the crease then even an older, failing shive inspires more confidence

but given the way the wicb goes if shive fails a third time all bets are off. he is unlikely to face the Oz

This has been an unusual list of failures by Shiv, I still think he has the ability to get to 12k runs in tests. I expect him to get that 112 in Bim.

* If Shiv fails again in Barbados, his countryman and  fellow PPP supporter Clive Lloyd will likely sit him down and frankly tell him that the selectors and the WICB will give him a farewell test in Dominica, a country that has given Shiv citizenship.

* So what you are saying Mappy is the folks at the WICB are a bunch of ruthless, cold-hearted, insensitive scoundrels---they are willing to drop the longest serving servant in WI cricket without affording him a farewell test.

* The Indians gave a failing Tendy a farewell test; the Aussies gave a failing Ponting a farewell test; the South Africans gave a failing Kallis a farewell test.

* Are you saying the West Indians are not as civilized as the Indians, Australians and South Africans ?

* Check out Shiv's dismissal again---see 47 sec mark---looks like Shiv needs to buy a lucky seed----it took 2 slip fielders and 3 attempts to send the Tiger packing:

* The last time Shiv failed so badly was back in 2009---6 years ago.

* Oh well! If Lord Krishna wills Shiv to score the 112 runs he needs, then he will surpass 11,953. If not, then he still would have had an outstanding test career.

* It must be OLD AGE---Shiv clearly not judging the line of the ball---that Anderson delivery could have been left alone---Shiv followed it---and gave catching practice----he also gave catching practice when he made 1 in the first innings.
