He taking up spot of young Hope
* Young Shai Hope has a massive FIRST CLASS average of 34.47

http://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Player...10905.html

* West Indians are dying for him to replace Shiv----they believe he'll be twice as good as the Tiger.

QUESTION:

* Why the anxiety among West Indian fans to push Shiv out of the team ?

* The truth is it pains many WI fans to see Shiv approach 11,953 ---he is only 112 runs away----but WI fans want Shiv gone----nasty, ungrateful, unthankfulย  bunch of people.

* The Rev says the failing Shiv deserves 3 more tests---1 vs England and then the farewell series versus Australia.

ICC RANKINGS: SHIV IS NO LONGER RANKED IN THE TOP 10

* Shiv is now the #11 ranked batsman in the world.

* This is the first time in 5 years Shiv is not ranked in the Top 10

http://www.relianceiccrankings.com/ranki...t/batting/

* Marlon Samuels is now ranked #28

* Darren Bravo is ranked #32

* Kraig Brathwaite is ranked #34

* Devon Smith is ranked #100

Can you tell him to hurry up and make the runs
* You are asking the impossible from Shiv---he doesn't know the word "hurry".. ;D

* Just like he has crawled his way to 11,842 runs after 163 tests---he'll likely crawl his way to 11,954 if he is allowed to play 3 more tests. Big Grin

RUNS SCORED BY WI BATSMEN IN THE 2 TESTS

186 Samuels(49.00 avg)
179 Blackwood(59.66)
161 Brathwaite(40.25)
146 Bravo(36.50)
143 Holder(47.66)
125 Ramdin(31.25)
93 Smith(23.25)
67 Chanderpaul(16.25)

* Holy Smokes! Shiv all the way in the basement. Even proven failure Devon Smith has scored more runs than Shiv.

* Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall---it will take a miracle for Shiv to fire in his remaining 1 or 3 tests.

MORE TIDBITS:

* Shiv has played 4 tests against England at Kensington Oval, Barbados.

* The following is not encouraging news for Shiv's fans.

* In 4 tests against England in Barbados Shiv has scored 250 runs at an average of 41.66 with no hundreds and 3 fifties.

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/...pe=batting

* Shiv's scores at Kensington---77 and 5 in 1994; 45 and 3* in 1998; 50 and 0 in 2004; 70 in 2009

* It looks like we can expect one bingo score and one half way decent score from Shiv in the upcoming test in Barbados.

* OK! Some simple arithmetic.

Quote:Shiv's scores at Kensington---77 and 5 in 1994; 45 and 3* in 1998; 50 and 0 in 2004; 70 in 2009

* We know Shiv needs 112

* And this is what we also know based on the stats above:

* The most runs Shiv has scored in a Barbados test against England was 82---and that was 21 years ago.

* The lowest runs Shiv has scored in a Barbados test versus England was 48.

* Unless Shiv pulls off a miracle and scores his first hundred against England at Kensington it looks like he will fall short of 112.

PAGING MAPOUI:

* I've just heard that 41 year old Shiv will not be touring with the West Indies team later this year----their next tour is to Zimbabwe in July/Aug 2015----they'll be playing 2 tests/3ODIs/2T20

* The WI has 3 tests remaining at home in 2015---1 vs England in Barbados and 2 versus Australia in Dominica and Jamaica.

* Mapps, I know you are a diehard Shiv supporter Big Grin---pray to Jesus he is able to score those 112 runs in the next 3 tests.

I doubt he would do it but.......

Is it definite he will not be touring?

Does that mean he is dropped?

Many teams will breathe a sigh of relief the nudger but one who can hang around is gone.
* In one dayers the selectors had offered Shiv a farewell game if he announced his retirement---he refused to retire and was dropped.

* In tests Shiv will also be offered a farewell game---most likely it will be one of the 2 tests versus Australia----if Shiv refuses to retire, then he'll be dropped.
