I'm in the same boat too.  I think most amateurs struggle with the longer clubs since those are harder to control and bring back into plane.

My 3, 4, 5, and 6 irons look pristine compared to the 7, 8, 9 and wedge. ::LOL::

Those Mizuno MP-H5's look amazing.  But at $1000, I'll stick to my trusty Ben Hogans. 8)

look for them on Craig's list.  Thats where they eventually end up!  You are on the right track!
