I do need to start playing more.  I only played twice in 2014!!!  WTH!!!!!!!

I do need a new set of clubs and a bag, however!

of course, the boss lady asked what I was going to do with the other 2 sets i have in the garage!!

response: keep them for guests!!!!!!!  hahahahahaha  ::LOL::

They started you guys on the 17th? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL::

Man, that is just cruel. ::LOL::

I'm trying to get a set of Irons and Wooden Persimmons from the 60's or 70's like the ones in the pic below.  I already have a set of Ben Hogan irons from the 80's and they are just amazing.

But I've heard the older irons and woods have a little more weight than modern clubs and as a result you can control your swing and shots a lot better.  I'll lose some distance but I'm aiming to be more consistent rather than hitting for distance.

yeah but the tour irons are for accurate hitters!  People with high handicaps will struggle with them.

I tried a wooden Persimmon for the first time at the range last year.

Wow!  The first one I hit off the screws felt like butter.  It went dead straight too.  Never got that feeling from my modern driver.

I asked the guy at the range how much he wanted for it and he refused to sell it.  Facker.
::LOL::
