Bro, any Indo-Guyanese who had to live (and suffer) through the Burnham dictatorship will always be PPP.  Even if they now claim to be affiliated with another political party.

It's the new generation who have only lived under PPP rule who don't care for those wretched times or the endless stories they hear from their fathers and grandfathers.  And why should they?  They have no memory of living under such impoverished conditions or the appalling and disgusting racism.  They only know of one government and one opposition.  That opposition has been highlighting the ills, indiscretions, and nepotism of the one government.  They have never seen the one opposition hold the reins of power.  They got curious last general election.  They may get even more curious this time around.

well you know how I am about dat.  there is an homogenizing agent/factor in the mix that is basic, fundamental..systematic exploitation and its social power.  that.. like pasturization, makes all milk the same.
