Cottrell for Sammy ??

He is not the player you would pick to have a mini-tantrum but Darren Sammy was not impressed when he was taken off after just

one over and seemed to drift into his own world as Dwayne Smith took over.

Holder went to his former captain to try to explain the decision but Sammy wasn't buying it.

They shared some choice words before Holder dispatched Sammy to the long-off boundary for an over ::LOL::

and then brought him into the ring in the next over.

The lesson had been learned as Sammy eagerly chased after everything that came his way, and even some that didn't.

Johnson Charles, brought in for the injured Chris Gayle, has been on ice for over a year in ODI cricket.

Jonathan Carter was playing his second tournament for West Indies.

Neither man showed themselves as such and took West Indies past the target without much incident.

COTTRELL SHOULD REPLACE ROACH. WILL PROVIDE VARIATION

During the West Indian innings Sammy and Holder were sitting next to each other and seemed to be "getting" on quite well.

It would be childish of the WI management to drop Sammy for anything other than cricketing reasons.

Roach was ineffective in this game so I expect him to be dropped and Benn or Miller come in.

That still does not solve the problem of who Holder uses as a 5th bowler - he will just have to try and squeeze out those 10 overs from Sammy, Samuels and possibly Smith. If Gayle is fit I expect Smith to be dropped.

Benn for Roach. The 4 prong is not effective enough.

Despite his half century Carter was not entirely convincing.

The NZ bowlers are pretty much all world class so we will see what happens.

Charles looked quite assured until he got out.

Roach max is @ 142.5 post Injury.

Sammy max is 130ish 

Roach is a better option for that few extra yards of pace.

Batting is inconsequential ....get Carter and Charles look the part !  8)

I don't think Roach has come close to 142.5 in this world cup but I could be wrong.

But it's not just his pace he looked quite ineffective yesterday and I can see the NZ batsman tearing into him
