AB has sunk to nadir for me.

Whether he wanted to be captain or not he should not be making these statements.

He has already created a situation in the dressing room that would serve only to undermine his team.

AB you have gone from hero to zero for me.

Really? ... I didn't read his comments like that.  I thought he put an end full stop to anything the media might try to stir up in the future.

Hey he said "I'm disappointed ....but life goes on, but that's the way things panned out so this is way things are... so I give my support to Hashim and so be it" !!!

Way to go AB ... if things were different you would've had my vote!!!

I dont see anything strange about AB's response.

Everyone felt he was a shoo in :

And as Gina145 clarified , Hash was always a reluctant leader  .

cant you read it that the guy  is saying he thought he wqas the best man.  when you say in life that you are diasapointed it means you feel deep inside that the wrong man was appointed.

he should have sucked it up and say  my full support is behind the captain.

He should have said that Hash always reluctant and usually quits or resigns :

when put in positions of leadership !

That woulda be the Truth !  Wink

No I don't Chair .... but maybe you're right.  However, I just see that he was being totally honest about how he truly feels whilst stopping the media in their tracks by publicly giving his support to Amla ...

so if you are disappointed that they didnt pick you. he has to tell the world?  read deep cal. sure i understand his disappointment but he should have kept it inside. if you read his statement qa liitle deeper you would see his sadness at not being chosen is a bit sinister.

Sure he's disappointed etc. ... but can't you see that he put it out there publicly so that the media can't use it against him in the future?  .... PLUS he was being brutally honest !!!
