Whether he wanted to be captain or not he should not be making these statements.

Woahhh..i have heard reputations sinking from sky high to nothing in a matter of seconds,and for the first time i am virtually seeing it.
..Either way,If he wanted or didn't want the captaincy role,he for his calibre and reputation shouldn't be talking about all these.These completely undermine his reputation.Truly he has gone from hero to zero..!!!

You gotta be shitting me. He said that he was disappointed BUT still he accepts the decision and didn't create a fuss over it. I have no idea how that's "awful". I don't think being diplomatic entails lying through your teeth - it just means presenting the truth in a good, civil manner.
“As vice-captain of the team I will closely work with Hashim and believe we can make a good combination.†- there's nothing negative about it.
