You can only judge players and young players relative to the standards. Whether Blackwood is any good, I cannot say but he did score the most runs at a 40 average which is certainly not the best but at 22, could be a prospect.
In fact Shacaya Thomas for CCC, in three innings less than blackwoodms, did very well only a few runs behind Blackwood but averaging 46 with 2 tons and 2 fifties.
I think only Ambris and Kirk also scored 2 hundreds. I would say that it seems statistically only Kirk and Leroy Johnson can be considered to have excelled.
