Fudadin should be given a fair test run as he has shown temperament and mental strength. In 3 tests he has averaged a respectable 31 with a fifty. He looks a test batsman to me and he also bowls if required.
Barnwell? I would like to think he is in the mix with other all rounders and whilst I would select him in ahead of Fletcher in any playing 11, he has to compete against Bravo, Sammy, Holder, Russell etc.
Bishoo was mismanaged and I am sure he taken ownership for his performances and he would accept he has not done enough. I do rate this lad highly and now with Shilly's issues he should be in the mix as he is potentially a better Test spinner than Narine at the moment but has he really done enough to get the selectors interested. I suspect not. However I want to see this guy back as leg spinners are match winners. In fact a non chucking Shilly and an optimum performing Bishoo can be a lethal Test duo. Also both guys can bat particularly Bishoo.
Permaul did not look like a test spinner to me. He has pretty good variations, an excellent attitude, looks industrious and feisty but does not spin it enough. He should be in the mix for ODIs and 'perhaps' T20s but there he has to compete with Narine and Badree and there are no good reasons, currently, to slip him ahead of either or both.
Fudadin wud be in my test side before Powell long time now. Powell is a joke being played on west indies by people with influence. the boy just does not have the temperament for the game at the top levels.
Fudadin shud be more productive than Powell save against real pace. he has demonstrated a disturbing flinch at speed..and not great speed at dat, Bresnan gave him trouble.
but I wud give him the benefit for now, over Powell to see what he has
I don't hold Russell to be very good. something is wrong with his head. he is always trying to hit the ball too hard instead of batting himself into an innings.
the power will take care of itself once he is into a flow in an innings. the power is in his body, he has it why all the mental intensity to HIIIIIT ::confused:: ::confused::
I am also pissed with Dwayne Bravo both as player and captain. right now he is good as neither. he does not display any consistent good sense as a cricketer. he is prone to do nonsense at any time.
if any apsect of the west indian game is being mismanage its the fast bowling. I expected Holder to be much advanced by now. he isnt.
and a lot of prospects keep coming up and getting nowhere in the west indian game. when Gibson isnt focused on Tino Best its on Fidel Edwards.
Sammy does some good things but I don know. he is not my cup of tea.
I don't know..but it might just as well be Barwell as any of those other guys. certainly before Russell with whom I am not impressed at all
can't teach the bowlers nor the batsmen cause he no good at either
I say rid of him bring in a few specialist batting, bowling and fielding coaches and let the manager take care of the day to strategy , like looking at films and so on
