UAE qualifies for T20 WC, without any Emiratis, and with lots of money power

UAE beat the Netherlands by 10 runs yesterday to qualify for the 2014 T20 CWC.

None of the players in the UAE team are Emirati citizens. Most of them are Pakistanis, while a few are Indians and Lankans.

I feel bad for teams such as Kenya and Netherlands, who had 100% passport holders in their squads.

Remember that the ICC changed the eligibility criteria only a few months ago, so that "rich" cricket boards such as the UAE can field mercenaries from other nations.

Ireland, Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, Nepal, Netherlands and Hong Kong

have all qualified for the 2014 ICC T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.

Netherland's got beaten by UAE? Wow. That's a big upset among the minnows. Not bad, UAE!

I'm looking forward to how Nepal does too.

So do I.....in all the years I spent in the UAE and Gulf Region, I don't know of any local Emirati cricket players !!!!

Am totally against the ICC ruling to allow 'rich' cricket boards to field non-nationalsย  >Sad
