Sobers by a mile :

even though I dislike different eras comparison !

That is why I say Kallis.


Sobers and others of that era and before played on uncovered pitches etc etc as I have said before.


Sobers brilliant and his enthusiasm was infectious.


He has a personality whilst Kallis does not but the latter's numbers stack up greatly.

Teah but there were no Bangladesh ,Zinbabwe:

or even Sri Laka ! 

Ketch so they traveled less and India was quite weak in those days.


Their schedule was more forgiving and they were more rejuvenated for each series etc...

Sobers. Kallis no doubt is an ATG, but he's one of those people who you have a feeling won't dig you out of a hole, more often than not. I might be way off here. Either way that's no big deal, I still rate Sobers>Kallis.

in fact, I rate Imran Khan above Kallis, after Sobers.
