Some of the great West Indian batsmen retired at the age of 37 to 39 years
Sobers , Richards , Kanhai , Lara and a few more with Lloyd retiring at 40. They knew that it was time to go and Chanderpaul should walk away now at his advanced age .
The writing is on the wall.

Father God please help Ramesh!!!
Do you not see the statistics that Chanderpaul has on him? Are you seriously going to say "pack it in"? Why on earth?????????
I did not realise that you are a woman.
I tried explaining on another thread about how active the WICB management are and somehow you seem confused by my answer . I am now wondering whether you will get it if I point out the reason why Chanderpaul should call it a day .
I am not saying this because you are a woman but because you have most likely never played the game

Because she know it was India who scheduled the West Indian TEST Tour :
including the A team....to see their young , inexperienced future !
and the WICB only contribution was :
" Yeah, Massah "
It is precisely because of WICB management that the I ndians asked only the West Indies to grace their country with a tour . this month . Many countries were available but they chose the West Indies
Maybe it was Tendulkar who requested that the West indies be the opposition for his farewell match
