Those vindictive arseholes will find a way to get rid of him.  They've already started the chatter.
[/quote]  They will try but they will not successful  for Shiv will leave on his own terms .
His bat will do the talking which will  silence the critics.
There are even some idiots right here on this forum  who are saying that it is time for him to go

Gayle is 1163 runs behind Lara----he may actually be allowed to stay around until the next world cup----but the WI cricket board is very ruthless and vindictive and they may decide to dump Gayle before he gets to Lara's 10405 in one dayers.

By the way---it was the WICB that decided to send Lara packing----he had at least 2 more years left in him-----but they took the captaincy away from him----then discarded him.

So if the great Lara can be discarded by the grudging, spiteful and malicious WICB----players like Gayle and Shiv stand no chance----they'll be dumped in a millisecond.

That is exactly the point. The WICB is a load of crap. Their actions show their incompetencies and lack of vision.

Master Blaster:

Both Shiv and Sachin will be playing their 150th and 200th test respectively in the 2nd test of the upcoming 2 test series.

Wouldn't it be great if Shiv could score a double century on Sachin's 200th test ? ;D

RE: SHIV IN INDIA

* Shiv has only played 6 tests in India---he has scored 491 runs at an average of 54.55 with 2 hundreds and 1 fifty.

* Hopefully Shiv scores at least one hundred----he'll join Greenidge, Richards and Sobers who have each scored 3 test hundreds in India.

* If Shiv scores 2 hundreds---he'll join Lloyd and Weekes---each has 4 hundreds.

BIG SURPRISE

Rohan Kanhai played 8 tests in India and only scored 1 hundred.

Spare a thought for Kallicharran :

most 50s (6)  of all W.I. batsmen in India ............... ( and 2-100s )  8)

followed by Lloyd and Sobers @ 5 each !

Some of the great West Indian batsmen retired at the age of 37 to 39 years
Sobers , Richards ,  Kanhai , Lara and a few more  with Lloyd  retiring at 40. They knew that it was time to go and Chanderpaul should walk away now at his advanced age .
The writing is on the wall.

So let's get this clear Ramesh!

* 39 year old Shiv Chanderpaul is currently the #2 ranked test batsman in the world.

* Chanderpaul has averaged 70.58 in the 7 years since Lara retired--14 100s and 21 50s in that time

* Chanderpaul has averaged 73.62 in the last 3 years(since Jan 2010)----6 100s and 6 50s

AND YOU WANT CHANDERPAUL TO PACK IT IN ?

Ramesh---It Looks like you are secretly in love with 39 year old Shiv Chanderpaul. Big Grin hahahahaha

Viv is clearly a great batsman but he lingered on far too long and in his last 19 tests averaged a paltry 30 ish.

I recognise Tiger's records but I cannot say I am a great fan although I have the utmost respect for the man having to score his runs and support and rescue the team during their darkest days.

Facts are facts and the solitary call for Shiv to quit is in line with the WICB's thinking so the apologist is in line with the regime.

Therein lies the answer to why he is alone in his views.
