So do you see tourism as a negative?
Many churches in the United States send their young people on “mission trips†to Caribbean nations (Belize, Haiti, etc.) to build homes, churches, and spread Christianity. What do you think of this? Is it helpful? Do Caribbean nations “need†this sort of help?

That's a good point - there's no set definition. There are geographic definitions which would mean strictly any nation bordering the Caribbean Sea. Then there are colonial definitions. Does CARICOM membership make a nation Caribbean? I don't know. I don't think there is one way of defining what Caribbean means.
