BRAMPTON- A Brampton Transit bus driver was assaulted by a passenger on Kennedy Road near Queen Street this afternoon, Peel Regional Police report.

Police were called just before 1 p.m. today (Tuesday) as the driver was being assaulted on the northbound bus, reportedly over the $3.50 bus fare.

A suspect left the bus and a man was arrested nearby at 1:15 p.m.

Charges are pending, according to police.

Meanwhile, the bus driver was taken to Brampton Civic Hospital for treatment.

No other injuries were reported.

BRAMPTON—Brampton’s Peter Gardner is going to court in a bid to ensure Bramalea City Centre remains closed on Family Day.
“The mall is not going to go bankrupt if they have to close on this one day,” said Gardner,  who will make the appeal in front of the Ontario Municipal Board on July 4 in Brampton. “The Family Day holiday was brought in to help the family unit in our society today.”
Gardner will appeal a Region of Peel council decision to allow Bramalea City Centre to operate on the February holiday, introduced by the provincial government several years ago.

Is Brampton a better place is a question that has been asked a couple times in this thread. I think that only time will tell. Also, are the majority of Brampton residents Sikh?

I would suggest that Maps give up wearing his Dashiki  and put on a Kurta and Dhoti and he will fit right in in Brampton
