Great for Shai Hope.

Means he wont play in the Headley vs Weekes series but does mean WI selectors should be paying close attention ahead of the India series in July.

The acquisition of Hope is a welcome boost on the eve of Yorkshire
season opener against Leicestershire at home
He has fond memories of playing at Headingley :
after becoming the first player to score two hundreds in a first-class match
at the ground when West Indies beat England there in August 2017.

After scoring 147 in the first innings
he finished 118 not out in the second

leading West Indies to a successful chase of 322
for a famous five-wicket win.

SerenaThis batting performance by the West Indies in the second innings blew me away. I kept closing my eyes and then rubbing and opening them again and sat transfixed as I watch that unbelievable partnership between John Campbell and Shai Hope. What a magnificent performance by these two! It just goes to show that patience, determination and effort can go a long way to improve the performances of the West Indies team.
