The importance of a set batsman playing through the end is clearly seen here. Scoring runs and playing through the end will actually show the depth of batting, or else such situations where top order getting runs but not being there till the end can drop the run rate.

Shubman Gill: Was a good wicket to bat on and I enjoyed batting on it, obviously disappointed to get run out but it's been a good experience. We posted a good total and hopefully we will be on the winning side. The wicket is pretty good, the ball started to grip after 20-25 overs for the spinners and spin is going to be crucial for us as well.

India end with 308. They threatened to go past 350 once but have to settle with 308. Windies fought back in the second half of the innings and picked up wickets to peg back India. Dhawan and Gill though gave India a great start after they were put into bat. Iyer also contributed with a fifty but post that the going got tough. The wicket is good to bat on but you need to spend some time on it
