[quoteChairman]We heard a rumour yesterday that there is an injury in the West Indies camp.
We hear that Keemo Paul is on his way over to Pakistan.[/quote]
Update
Keemo is indeed heading to Pakistan but he is supposed to be in Doha
to catch his connecting flight but he's not there as yet and apparently
Shepherd and Powell are already in Doha
getting ready to catch their flight to Pakistan.
Keemo might have to get a later flight into Pakistan
so might not be available for the first match anyway.

OFFICIAL : KeemoTherapy for Pakistan
Lead Selector, the Most Honorable Dr. Desmond Haynes said:
Keemo Paul has been kept out in the recent past due to injury and we view the management of his body as paramount to his success,
not only when on West Indies duty but also when he is with his regional franchise. ..
.
We have watched him perform in the recent West Indies
Championship Four-Day Competition for the Guyana Harpy Eagles
and we think he is ready to come back into the fold.”

West Indies have a score on the board. Riding on Shai Hope's 12th ODI hundred. His stand with Brooks set the platform as they played the ball on its merit. No unnecessary risks were taken and the scoreboard was kept ticking. Even against the spinners, they milked them and then Hope opened out once he got past his 70. He soon reached his ton and even though Pakistan kept picking wickets, West Indies managed to cross 300. A few lusty blows from Shepherd in the end boosted the total. The pitch is slow and there's turn for the spinners, albeit slow turn. Should be a good chase

I have never played in these conditions before [on the heat and humidity], I will take that. Some balls kept low. We have enough on the board. Wish I could've got a bit more hundreds but the plan is to try to get more runs for the team and give us a target for the bowlers. I did not know about that [on him being the third-fastest to 4000 ODI runs]. Nawaz and Shadab got a bit of turn and I was surprised that Nawaz got it to turn off his first ball. Make sure you keep it straight and as I said before, we have a decent total on the board. Hope we come out victorious tonight.
