Mayers to Root, nicks him off, Mayers has two for none! Just a gentle length ball
in the channel at 76mph/122kph, scrambled seam and it nips away just a fraction. Root leans forward and looks to defend but can only get a thin outside edge on it..

Mayers to Crawley, chipped to short extra cover! West Indies' Stevo gambit pays off!
Crawley looking to assert himself but mistimes an attacking shot straight to the man set for it.

Lunchtime on the first day, with England struggling at 46 for 3. Kyle Mayers, brought into the team as a batting allrounder, was the unlikely hero with the ball, finishing the session with remarkable figures of 5-5-0-2 from his only spell, with Jayden Seales trapped Dan Lawrence lbw to vindicate Brathwaite's decision to bowl first. Alex Lees has had a few strokes of luck but has survived until the break

Joseph to Stokes, OUT
miscued back to the bowler, England four down! Joseph stoops to catch one plinked off outer half of the bat, and casually tosses the ball to the umpire. Another short one and Stokes tried to take it on, but only succeeds in taking himself out

Roach to Lees, OUT
Lees is walking this time! Brings it back in and finds a thin nick through to the keeper!

Craig Overton to John Campbell, FOUR, short and wide, Campbell chases it and slices it away, bisecting gully and backward point in the process. Easy pickings really

Liquid John Campbell - lots of style, great driving and cutting but only gets 35. Two 50s in his 35 Test innings, but there clearly is a Test batter of talent there
